The Stalker

We are being stalked. Maybe I am being paranoid, but ever since we saved the two kitties from the Human Soceity (irony anyone?) it seems as if more and more cats have been lingering around our doorstep. Have we become a safehouse for homeless or wayward cats?

Trixie has been escaping on a regular basis. Not to worry, she always comes back. I often wonder if she isn't getting the word out on the street that Dan and I are suckers for homeless animals. I wonder if she raves about the Meow Mix and semi-fresh litter box, or the pure naivity of the masters of the house. She probably brags about the warm blanket laid on the spare bed, perfectly capturing the mid-morning sun rays. Or maybe how quiet the house can be for hours at a time.

She must be quite the salesperson, as we have had numerous felines playing nice on our stoop. One such cat that is stalking us is pictured here. This particular cat gives us the heeby-jeebies. He hangs around a lot and reminds us of probably the most evil human ever to roam our planet. (No, Mom, not W, the OTHER most evil person.) Kind of creepy if you ask me. We've nicknamed him Addy, and are sure to stay out of his way.
