Doctor's Update

I had a routine appointment with my obstetrician yesterday morning. Dan was brave enough to venture to the office with Aveline in tow. She is a full time job.

The ultrasound looked great! The Deuce is now in a more favorable head down or vertex position, as opposed to the breech position she held two weeks ago. Yeah! No guaranteed c-section for me! Woo HOO! (Thank you Christina for the stern talk with her!) The technician was practicing her 4-D technique and tried out the new technology on us. This was a treat since we can't really afford to go to one of those private ultrasound places for fetal portraits. We watched our daughter yawn, stretch and make a fist, all as clear as if she was in front of us. One thing that (unnecessarily) worries me is the apparent size of her nose. It looks like a doozy from all of the pictures we have seen. I guess we won't know for sure until she makes her appearance.

After a good half hour of oogling the baby, we went to see the doctor. My blood pressure was great and I only gained 2 pounds. My doctor was very happy and impressed. I'm measuring normally and everything else is fine. Finally, an uneventful pregnancy....just what I had hoped for! We do still start our weekly visits now, even though things look good. I guess all I have to do is just sit back and gestate.

Oooh, 4 D, did they give you any pictures?

We had one done at 20 weeks and it was so awesome, I can only imagine what it must be like at almost 33 weeks.

So glad all is going well with you 2, cannot wait to see the Deuce in pictures, cause we won't get to see her in person for a long time.

Cordy looked like she had a big hook nose in her 3-D ultrasounds, so I wouldn't be too worried.

And hooray for head down and good BP! Glad to know it worked!
